New Delhi, January 28, 2009: Innova, India's bestselling Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) from Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) was launched today with new and improved interior and exterior luxury features to further enhance its appeal to customers. These features ensure an enjoyable drive, sense of superiority, exclusivity and enhanced comfort & safety.
Announcing the launch of the new Innova, Mr. Hiroshi Nakagawa, Managing Director, TKM, said, "The Innova is a proven success in India and the new version is aimed at further delighting our customers with its advanced styling, luxurious interiors, enhanced comfort and safety. The New Innova offers aerodynamic styling on the exteriors with a stylish front grill and bumper along with redesigned rear combination lights, alloy wheels and new color wooden panels."

The new Innova returns best fuel mileage in the segment with 13.7 kms /litre (as per standard ARAI test conditions). It is available in four new metallic colours: Light Blue Metallic, Grey Mica Metallic, Silver Mica Metallic and Dark Red Metallic.

The new Innova, with its elegant styling and comfort, in addition to its time-tested quality and reliability, will attract customers from both the MPV and sedan segment. It will be launched with targeted customer-specific marketing initiatives and sales promotions activities. The new Innova is equipped with proven, dependable engine platforms in D-4D diesel engine and VVT-i petrol engine. It has a turning radius of 5.4m, which facilitates easy driving in city as well as highway conditions," added Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, TKM.
The Innova, launched in India in 2005, created a different experience for customers with its exterior and interior features that redefined the automobile segment in the country. Since then, the Innova has cut a niche for itself by offering the luxury of a sedan with the performance of an MPV. The Innova has continued its market leadership in 2008 with a 36% market share in the MPV segment. The Innova is a result of the unique IMV project from Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) that has broken new grounds in the way automobiles are created.
