Kiran, had just completed his SSLC in a nearby Govt. High School in Udupi district, where he spent most of his childhood in a rented house which was demanding a pay of Rs.350/- every month. His mother was the sole bread winner as his father had left them early due to a cardiac arrest. His elder brother who at the time of his father’s death was fourteen was left with no options but to quit learning and help his mother, unfortunately his sister ended up having the same fate as well and had to work in a cashew factory. Luckily, things started falling in place when his sister was married to a goldsmith who guided Kiran in the direction that changed everything for him and his family. His interest towards Automobile electronics, curiosity for technology and hunger for knowledge secured him a seat in Toyota Technical Training Institute (Mechatronics) but things were not smooth even after; the family’s financial condition was compelling him to quit in-between but he fought through and utilized the opportunity to put in more effort, and with proper guidance from his trainers he secured himself a fellowship from TTTI which was bound to happen as he had secured 81% in knowledge and 85% in skill. The gains of the fellowship helped him in supporting his family.
Like it is said that there is always a silver lining he found his in the midst of all the dark clouds. In his final year he was shortlisted for National skill competition in Prototype Modelling and participated in the event held in Delhi which was one of the most memorable event of his life, he says. Though this was a great opportunity to him, the road he had chosen was not easy as it was a totally new field of work for a student from Mechatronics trade, he failed many times in the process but did not lose hope, he invested ten to twelve hours in enhancing his skills and on Saturdays and Sundays his duration of practice increased to 16 hours per day.
His continuous efforts and excellence brought him to a conjuncture where he had the opportunity to represent India on a global platform at World Skill Competition organized in Abu Dhabi where he came out with flying colors securing a “Bronze Medal” in Prototype Modelling.
Hi, Myself Likith Kumar Y.P from impoverished family and my childhood was illiterateness, but with the motivation of my teachers as well as my parents, I completed my schooling education with 85%.
After my schooling education, I find a golden opportunity, is that to get a chance to study in TTTI. During my 1st Year, I was inspired from my Alumni, who won medallion of excellence and Bronze medal, so by this I dreamt and Performed in WSC & worked hard with full of dedication for three years.
Finally got selected for WSC in Prototype and placed 2nd in India Skill in 2019. I did not give up & continuously worked for the next year and Won 1st place.
In 2022, WSC (Prototype Modelling), I was Proud to reward with Bronze Medal on behalf of our Nation, it was a pleasant moment in my life, to hold our National Flag with Bronze Medal. So I hearty Thankful to TOYOTA & TTTI for giving me an opportunity.
Hi, Myself Sumanth S.C of security guard’s son, won’s gold medal.
During my childhood, I was inspired from the Olympic games, where the winners used to hold our National Flag & received the medals, which made me to focus more on World Skill Competition.
In the year 2019, at Russia the World Skill Competition was held for four days, out of 38 countries, I secured 5th position from Our country i.e Medallion of Excellence in the skill of mechatronics, but I missed the medal just by 0.5 marks.
So I will be always greatful to TOYOTA for giving me an opportunity. Once I read an article in Newspaper that "Skill Changes Our Life". So I can agree that really happened in my life personally & professionally.
Finally, I can say that "Conscientiousness quality of attitude makes ensure everything is going well".
Hi Myself Akhilesh from Mandya district in Karnataka, during my childhood, my father was relinquished. So my maternal uncle was superintending of my studies. I secured 83% in S.S.L.C from TREP [ Total Residential Educational Program.
But my uncle felt difficult for my higher education, during that time my uncle’s friend suggested & supported me to apply for TTTI. By the grace of God, I was selected & find the trade in Mechatronics batch.
In TTTI, 3 years of vigorous training developed me lots of confidence, knowledge skills & responsibility to be a good citizen. I got Gold Medal at 2nd year skill Fest & got outstanding performance at the Graduation.
After the completion of 3yrs of Course in TTTI, I was placed to TKM, Then I was selected to Indian National Skills Mechatronics competition held at Aerocity grounds at Delhi & got bronze medal at 2018 in National Skills India.
Now I am delightfully selected as Mechatronics competitor for the upcoming event of World skills & aiming to achieve Gold medal.
Who doesn’t want a manpower which is ready for employment from the day one we hire?
Yes, it is true when it comes to the graduates of TTTI.
TKAP being a Toyota company, it suits all the more to hire TTTI graduates who not only master their trade skills but also, can relate very well to the principles of TPS and Toyota Way. Such an alignment before hand helps the organization significantly.
I do not see any company that does not want to imbibe TPS and Toyota Way to strengthen their key business performance metrices. From that perspective, I would like to say that TTTI graduates fit any organization due to their excellent English speaking, and writing skills leave aside their excellent cognitive mind for logical and analytical thinking ability.
“Good thinking leads to good products” is very much true for TKAP having hired many TTTI graduates.
We at DNKI are very glad to have TTTI Trainees, they are excellent with Quality Mind and Safety Consciousness. The Industry favouring Attitude, Quick grasping and Speedy response with a zeal to learn are few qualities which really make them the Role Model employees.
We are very much happy about TTTI Trainees, recruited as "Sub Line Leaders" in our Production department. They are really brilliant with high Technical Knowledge, Production skills and very good at Kaizen activities. They participate in QCC and are "Change Agents" of Toyota Culture in our plant.
